Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 Reviews

April 13 2011 review by hardwarecanucks

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 Intel P67 Chipset If you want a socket 1155 board with high end features, lots of extras like the NF200 chip, including 3-way SLI, then this mobo would be your choice, but if you are a 'normal' user and just want a good solid board for a reasonable price then one of Gigabyte's lower offerings is probably a better choice.

Benchmarks:

Cinebench, MaxxMem, Sisoft Sandra, SuperPi, futuremark products and some games were tested on the SLI page.

Compared To:

Its own OC results in the system benchmarks and in the gaming benches SLI was compared to single slot.

Overclocking:

An Intel Core i5-2600K was OCed @ 5GHz on air, there's also a 'sub zero' page with much higher results.

Test Setup:

  • CPU : Intel Core i5-2600K
  • CPU Cooler : Swiftech Apogee XT
  • Memory : 2x2GB G.Skill Trident DDR3 2133MHz
  • Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate x64
  • Power Supply : Antec Signature 850W
  • SSD : OCZ Vertex 2 60GB
  • Video Card : EVGA GeForce GTX460 soc

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 The BIOS of this mobo is not an UEFI BIOS. There's also no auto overclocking feature and the 8-pin power connector is placed away from the edge of the board and is rotated 90 degrees.

Lay-out: At mid-board the large graphics cards are not in the way of the DIMM slots. The CPU Cooler is not affected either, and there's still plenty of space. The heatsink below the CPU will adversely affect any video card from being installed in the top PCI-E slot.

Compared To:

This mainboard was not compared to another board.

Benchmarks:

No benchmarks were tested.

Test Setup:

  • CPU : Intel Core i7 2600K
  • CPU Cooler : Xigmatek Dark Knight
  • Graphics Card : dual Radeon HD6970
  • Memory : Crucial Ballistix
Overclocking:

An Intel Core i7 2600K was OCed @ 4.95GHz
