In the BIOS there is a possibility to set the CPU Overclocking to [Overclocking Profile]. In that case the Overclocking Options are [Auto][Overclock 3%][Overclock 5%][Overclock 7%].
We started overclocking by using the overclocking profile in the BIOS and set it to the maximum value being 7%. We ran it for about half an hour with no problems. All this was done with the AMD stock cooler.
Manual overclocking the X3 710 was a lot higher, we reached 3315MHz with a base clock of 255MHz, a gain of 27.5%. Raising the CPU voltage didn't help, we couldn't get any higher then a BCLK of 255MHz. We used a Cooler Master Hyper TX 3 heatsink and the hyper transport and memory values were lowered during overclocking. We ran the 7zip benchmark using 6 threads for more than an hour.
