This board was compared with an Intel DH55TC (H55 chipset), there wasn't much difference in the benchmark results between the two boards. This review takes you by the hand during a walk through the BIOS screens.
Conclusion:
Using the ASUS P7H57D-V EVO with Core i3 models doesn't make sense. If you're a gamer beware of this: ASUS claims a dual x8 lane PCIe configuration is only possible with Core i5 7xx or Core i7 8xx CPU,
and not with a Core i5 6xx processor. hexus.net advises a micro-ATX H55-based board over a H57, the few extra features, if you leave out SATA3 and USB3, you'll get aren't worth paying the premium for.
Overclocking: CPU was OCed @3.85GHz (+10.9%) with a BCLK of 160.7MHz, QPI was 7.71GHz (+20.1%). hexus.net encountered issues with the BIOS profiles: neither manual CPU ratios or manual DRAM timings were restored correctly.
